we are expecting!

hello dear friends and family,

it has been a busy start here in 2012. much has happened and we have great news for those who have not already heard: WE ARE EXPECTING! marah has just finished the first trimester and the baby is due in october. as you can guess, we are extremely excited for this gift of life. we know that God, the Giver of life, is faithful, and He will provide us with all we need to be parents.

we have now been in germany for twenty months, and it has been so awesome to see God’s faithfulness daily. this faithfulness also through so many of you who support us through prayer, finances and encouragements. we cannot say thank you enough.

this year will hold a lot, and we look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

in june, calvary chapel heidelberg will celebrate its 10 year anniversary. the church will have a celebration day to praise God for the work He has done here in heidelberg.

at the beginning of july, we will have a team of college age students from calvary chapel st. pete stop by for a few days to do outreach. we're excited to see long-time friends on this trip :)

soon we will have to start preparing for the birth, which as most of you know, is a wonderful thing that requires much preparation. we have many friends here who have given birth in germany, and the system here is really good. they really take care of families. we know there will be small and big challenges, as this is an area where we have no experience, but we are thankful to be surrounded with so many blessed friends from the church who want to help us in any way we need.

our prayer requests:

- marah and the baby 

- life in general (as we will now be adjusting and getting ready for the baby 

- the worship ministry at Calvary Chapel Heidelberg 

- the possibility of a new apartment (our current apartment is perfect for the two of us, but will be a bit difficult with a baby)
